Left fielder Ian Happ went yard and scored 3 times as the Nimrod Numnuts
defeated the hopeless Woodfield Roadkyll 10 to 8 at Sutter Health
Park.
Nimrod came up with 4 runs in the 5th inning with the help of 4 hits. They
would prove to be the difference in the contest. Even though they scored in
5 different innings, Woodfield was not able to pull off the win.
Dylan Cease(12-8) got the win allowing 5 runs in 5 innings. Daniel Palencia
gained credit for his 11th save. Luis Ortiz(6-7) was charged with the loss.
He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 8 hits and 5 walks in 5
innings.
'I struggled a bit out there tonight,' Cease said, 'but I toughed it out and
we got the win.'
