Michael McGreevy went 6 strong innings as the Woodfield Roadkyll topped the
Tombstone Huckleberries by a score of 6 to 4 at The O.K. Corral.
Tombstone found themselves trailing quickly as the Woodfield bats came through
in the first inning with 2 runs on 3 hits. After an out was recorded, Danny
Jansen started the attack as he delivered a single. Rafael Devers stepped up
next and he laced a one-base hit. Liam Hicks then would hit into a force
play resulting in a run. Juan Soto was up next and he drew a walk. Gleyber
Torres stepped into the box and banged out a single scoring the final run of
the inning. Tombstone made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to
push the needed runs across.
The win went to McGreevy(1-9) who allowed 1 run in 6 innings. Jacob Lopez
recorded his 2nd save. Chris Bassitt(11-6) ended up with the loss. He was
knocked around, surrendering 6 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings.
