One run was the difference at Burbank Park as the Burbank Tigers defeated the
floundering Dublin Pubcrawlers 4 to 3.
Dublin was unable to recover after Burbank went ahead in the bottom of the 6th
inning scoring one runner on 2 hits. Dublin made it exciting in the 9th, but
they were unable to push the needed runs across.
Mike Vasil(5-4) went 3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Vasil got
relief help from Bubba Chandler who gained credit for his 2nd save. Jackson
Jobe(1-3) absorbed the loss. He pitched 6 innings giving up 5 hits and 2
walks.
Adam Smith was subdued after the ballgame, 'That one really hurts. If our guys
had simply played more fundamentally sound, we could have won that one. That
is what really ticks me off!'
