Center fielder Colton Cowser left the yard and had 3 RBI at Burbank Park where
the Burbank Tigers beat the Tombstone Huckleberries 5 to 4.
Burbank scored 2 runs in the decisive 7th inning. The big moment was provided
by Cowser who made the Burbank fans a happy lot when he cleared the fences
for a two-run home run. Tombstone made it exciting in the 9th, but they were
unable to push the needed runs across.
The victory was credited to Lucas Giolito(11-7) who went 7 innings, allowing 3
runs. Giolito got help from Bubba Chandler who earned his 1st save. Eduard
Bazardo(4-3) was tagged with the loss in relief. He gave up 2 hits and no
walks in 2 innings.
'It's a disheartening loss, no question about it' said Doug Salzwedel 'But we
have to get over it and get ready for the next game.'
