The Palatine Cubs nipped the Tampico Stogies in 10 innings 5 to 4 at Busch
Stadium in a hard fought contest.
The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings. Finally, Palatine pulled the
game out in the 10th inning. After two outs Gabriel Moreno laced a single
scoring the run. Palatine managed 8 hits in their victory.
The win was credited to Camilo Doval(4-8) who went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing
no runs. Adrian Morejon(5-5) was hit with the loss in relief. He was pinned
with the loss despite not allowing an earned run in his 1 and 2/3 innings of
work.
