Blake Snell reeled off a total of 12 strikeouts at The Horseshoe where the
Tombstone Huckleberries beat the Columbus Crowd in 10 innings by the score of
8 to 5.
Both teams were tied at 4 runs apiece after nine innings. Tombstone came out
on top in the 10th inning. The key at-bat was by Byron Buxton who deflated
the mood of the partisan fans when he smashed a two-run homer. Tombstone
totaled 11 hits on the night.
Jhoan Duran(4-1) was the winner allowing 1 run in 1/3 of an inning. Duran got
help from Edwin Diaz who was credited with his 37th save. Andrew
Kittredge(2-1) was charged with the loss in relief.
