The Texas Flood put 5 runs on the scoreboard in the 8th inning and edged the
Aarlington Aardvarks at Aarlington Field by the score of 10 to 9.
Riley Greene was a source of great heartache for the Aarlington faithful all
evening. He just kept pounding out hits! He lofted a three-run bomb in the
3rd inning, tripled which was good for two runs in the 5th inning and doubled
in the 8th inning. Aarlington had a chance in the 9th but they came up
short.
The winning pitcher was Andrew Heaney(5-10) who allowed 5 runs in 3 and 1/3
innings. Heaney got help from Ben Brown who was credited with his 8th save.
Jordan Leasure(3-3) was the loser in relief. He gave up 3 hits and 1 walk in
1 inning.
The Texas ballclub's record now stands at 48-65. Not able to get much going
in recent weeks, Aarlington is 2-8 of late and now has an overall record of
57-56.
