Brayan Rocchio left the yard and had 4 RBI as the Columbus Crowd won at The
Horseshoe in dramatic fashion over the Tombstone Huckleberries, the final
score, 8 to 7.
The game was won by Columbus when they scored a run in the 9th inning. Corbin
Carroll lined a base-hit. Roman Anthony stepped into the batter's box and he
banged out a single. Anthony took second on the throw. Christian Yelich was
the next batter, but he struck out. Alec Burleson was a strikeout victim,
unable to help out. C.J. Abrams came up to bat and drew a walk to load the
bases. Edwin Diaz then let one get away for a wild pitch resulting in an
exciting win for Columbus and a raucous post-game celebration by the home
town fans. This was the kind of game that many fans love as the lead changed
hands 5 times.
Trevor Megill(3-1) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 inning. The loss was
charged to Robert Suarez(9-5) in relief. He surrendered 3 hits and no walks
in 2/3 of an inning.
