Michael Busch slammed 2 homeruns at Palatine Park where the Illinois Patriots
beat the Palatine Cubs by the score of 9 to 6.
Busch had a big day against Palatine. He hit a bases-empty home run in the
1st inning, laced a base-knock in the 2nd inning, slapped a single in the 4th
inning and cracked a solo homerun in the 9th inning. This was the kind of
game that many fans love as the lead changed hands 5 times.
Lake Bachar(5-1) went 3 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. Brad Keller
recorded his 14th save. The losing pitcher was Juan Mejia(2-3) in relief.
The Illinois ballclub's record now stands at 48-59. With the loss, the
Palatine ballclub's record is 58-49.
