First baseman Dominic Smith touched them all and had 3 RBI at Sutter Health
Park as the Nimrod Numnuts staged a comeback win over the Columbus Crowd by
the count of 4 to 3.

Nimrod had the game winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning with 2 runs
using 2 hits. Gavin Lux led off and keyed the rally when he tripled. Smith
followed next and he bombed a two-run dinger giving Nimrod the win as 74
happy fans joyfully celebrated. Columbus had 10 hits in the game while
Nimrod had 6, but Nimrod had the more timely hits.

The win went to Daniel Palencia(2-3) who allowed no runs in 1/3 of an inning.
Devin Williams(1-2) took the loss in relief. He surrendered 2 hits and no
walks in 1/3 of an inning.

Palencia and Smith were really whooping it up in the clubhouse after the great
come from behind victory. As Mark Salzwedel noted, 'A win like this one can
do wonders for a team's attitude.' Everyone shares in the joy - the fans, the
players - even you guys - it's better than winning by a dozen runs!'
