Casey Schmitt rocketed 2 homeruns at Burbank Park as the Burbank Tigers won a
thriller over the Palatine Cubs in, 8 to 7.
The game was won by Burbank when they scored a run in the 9th inning. After
an out was recorded, Chase Meidroth hit a single. Trea Turner stepped into
the batter's box and he doubled resulting in an exciting win for Burbank and
a wild post-game celebration by the home town fans. Burbank won despite
being out-hit by Palatine 11 hits to 7.
The winning pitcher was Jack Dreyer(4-2) who allowed 1 run in 2/3 of an
inning. Tyler Kinley(4-5) was given the loss in relief. He surrendered 2
hits and no walks in 1/3 of an inning.
