Grant Holmes(3-4) and Bryan Woo(9-4) treated the Tampico fans to a fine
pitching duel at Busch Stadium. The Tampico Stogies eventually emerged as
victors over the Dyersville Jurassics by the score of 3 to 1.
Holmes pitched well for Tampico in their victory. He went 6 and 2/3 innings
surrendering 4 hits and 6 walks reducing his ERA from 5.60 to 4.76. Overall
Tampico out-hit Dyersville 8 to 5.
Aroldis Chapman preserved the game for Holmes, recording his his 28th save.
'I had a little blister on my index finger before the game, but I thought it
was nothing.' Holmes said. 'I was lucky I got a win because I couldn't put
the ball where I wanted it.'
