Rafael Devers knocked 2 homeruns at Englefield Green as the Woodfield
Roadkyll, running on all cylinders, ripped the Nimrod Numnuts by a large 16
to 0 margin.
Devers had a great evening at the plate. He had the crowd cheering his every
move. He smacked a three-run homer in the 5th inning and launched a
rocket-shot out of the park for a Grand Slam homerun in the 6th inning.
Woodfield lit up the scoreboard in the 5th inning which saw them plate 5 runs
on 3 hits and the 6th inning when they had 5 runs on 3 hits. Woodfield had
14 hits overall, while Nimrod had 6.
The victory went to Cristopher Sanchez(7-8) who went 6 innings, allowing no
runs. Sanchez got relief help from Jake Latz who gained credit for his 5th
save. Jeffrey Springs(9-7) was given the loss. He pitched 4 innings and
surrendered 5 hits and 3 walks.
