Josh Smith smacked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Dublin Pubcrawlers topped
the Illinois Patriots by a score of 11 to 7 at Poets Field.
Smith made sure the Dublin fans enjoyed themselves. He blasted a solo shot in
the 1st inning, slapped a single in the 2nd inning and cracked a two-run shot
in the 4th inning. Even though they scored in 5 different innings, Illinois
was not able to pull off the win.
Orion Kerkering(2-1) was the winner allowing 1 run in 1 inning. Kerkering got
help from Luis Morales who was credited with his 4th save. Shane Baz(6-7)
took the loss. He got hammered, allowing 10 hits and 2 walks in 5 and 2/3
innings.
