Third baseman Royce Lewis had 2 base hits and 3 RBI at Burbank Park as the
Palatine Cubs beat the Burbank Tigers 9 to 3.
Palatine had the game winning rally in the 8th inning scoring 3 runs on 4 base
hits. Keibert Ruiz opened up the inning nicely when he doubled. After an
out was recorded, Lewis came to bat and delivered a base-hit driving in a
run. Jackson Merrill then tripled plating one more runner. Nathaniel Lowe
was up next and he laced a one-base hit scoring the final run of the inning.
Burbank was out-hit by Palatine, 13 hits to 8.
Ryan Helsley(1-1) got the win allowing no runs in 2 and 1/3 innings. Daniel
Coulombe recorded his 2nd save. Quinn Priester(3-3) ended up with the loss
in relief.
Wth the win Palatine now has a record of 52-45. With the loss Burbank now has
a record of 47-50.
