At Leones Field the very talented Caracas Leones outdistanced the Aarlington
Aardvarks in 11 innings by a final score of 10 to 6.
Both teams were tied at 3 runs apiece after nine innings. Caracas won the
hard fought contest in the 11th inning. The key at-bat was by Kyle Stowers
who excited the crowd when he hit a 'grand salami' to the delight of his
teammates. Caracas banged out 8 hits on the night.
Steven Matz(2-1) allowed 1 run in 1 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Phil Maton(3-2) was given the loss in relief. He pitched 1 and 1/3
innings allowing no hits and 1 walk.
