Center fielder Riley Greene homered and had 2 RBI as the Texas Flood defeated
the Hollywood Marines by a score of 2 to 1 at Lawton Stadium.
Texas came up with 1 run in the 6th inning. The Hollywood batters didn't put
up a fight in the 9th. Max Fried(5-8) was the winner allowing 1 run in 6 and
1/3 innings. Jason Alexander earned his 6th save. Jacob Degrom(4-7) was the
losing pitcher. While he was the losing pitcher, he still struck out 10
batters in 5 and 2/3 innings.
Greg Edens was just happy to get a win, 'We've had such a bad streak of games
-- boy, it's great to get the monkey off our back. Now maybe we can relax a
little and play the kind of baseball of which we are capable.'
