The Streator Reds and the Chicago Whales locked up in an exciting one-run game
at West Side Park. The final score was the Streator Reds 5, the Chicago
Whales 4.
Streator tallied 3 runs in the 2nd inning. Chicago had a chance in the 9th
but they came up short. The win went to Cade Horton(2-0) who allowed 2 runs
in 6 innings. Matt Brash preserved the game for Horton, recording his his 2nd
save. Dean Kremer(4-7) was hit with the loss.
Rich Domovic was clearly disappointed after the game. 'It was a manager's
nightmare out there', he said, 'We should have had this one.'
