The Streator Reds got by the Tampico Stogies at Streator Park. The final
score was 5 to 3.
Streator jumped on top to stay in the bottom of the 6th inning scoring one
runner. Tampico had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.
Kyle Freeland(4-7) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. Freeland got
help from Tony Santillan who earned his 6th save. The loss was charged to
Brayan Bello(7-5).
Despite losing Mike Aldrich was optimistic after the game. 'We'll get over
this one. Sometimes the breaks fall your way, sometimes they don't. Any one
of a dozen little things go different, and we come out on top.'
