Hogan Harris went 4 and one third solid innings at Edsel Stadium as the Gotham
Gold Gloves beat the Chicago Whales 7 to 6.
Gotham came up with the deciding runs in the bottom of the 8th inning when
they came up with 4 runs on 4 hits. The key at-bat was by Cal Raleigh who
excited the crowd when he smashed a two-run homer. Chicago tried
unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th.
Raisel Iglesias(3-3) allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Gabe Speier(3-1) was charged with the loss in relief.
'Fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals' said Rich Domovic after the game.
'We lost this game tonight because we didn't follow the instructions every
Little Leaguer hears every day.'
