Designated hitter Brent Rooker had 2 base hits at Burbank Park where the
Burbank Tigers beat the Dublin Pubcrawlers 4 to 3.
Burbank won the game with a rally in the bottom of the 8th inning plating 2
runs using 3 hits. Shea Langeliers led off and started the rally when he
doubled. After an out was recorded, Rooker came to bat and doubled plating a
run. Bryan Reynolds then drew a walk. One out later, Trea Turner came up
and he banged out a single scoring the final run of the inning. The teams
had been locked in a scoreless duel until the 6th inning.
The victory went to Mike Vasil(3-1) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs. Jalen
Beeks earned his 3rd save. Kyle Harrison(0-1) was hit with the loss in
relief. He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings giving up 2 hits and 2 walks.
The Burbank ballclub's record now stands at 42-38. Dublin can't seem to snap
out of their recent 'funk'. Now they have a miserable 2-8 record over the
last couple weeks.
