Jarren Duran slammed a homerun at Aarlington Field as the Borculo Bumble Bees
beat the Aarlington Aardvarks by the count of 4 to 3.
The game was decided in the top of the 8th inning. Francisco Lindor reached
on an error. Duran next to the plate and he banged out a single. Duran got
a good lead and stole second. One out later, Josh Lowe dug into the batters
box next, but he struck out. Anthony Santander came up to bat and lashed a
single scoring the run. Borculo totaled 7 hits on the night.
The winning pitcher was Taijuan Walker(2-6) who allowed no runs in 3 and 2/3
innings. Kyle Leahy(3-4) was charged with the loss in relief. He was the
victim of a defensive lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game.
'It's been a rough ride lately, but this was a good win for us' said Steve
Seydell, 'Maybe this will put us back on track.'
