where the Palatine Cubs beat the Chicago Whales by the score of 9 to
4.
Palatine tallied 4 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning when they came up with
4 base hits. That scoring would be all that was needed. Chicago was out-hit
by Palatine, 17 hits to 10.
The victory went to Kyle Hendricks(3-2) who went 5 innings, allowing 4 runs.
Dean Kremer(3-5) took the loss. Palatine scored big getting 5 runs off him
in 2 and 1/3 innings.
Wth the win Palatine now has a record of 35-34. Chicago will hope that this
loss is only a 'blip' on their recent 8-2 run - and not a start of a new
trend.
