Ben Rice slammed 2 homeruns and had 6 RBI at Lawton Stadium where the Texas
Flood beat the Nimrod Numnuts by the score of 8 to 6.
Rice provided much of the offense. He laced a one-base hit which plated a run
in the 1st inning, lofted a three-run bomb in the 7th inning and cleared the
fences for a two-run home run in the 8th inning. This was the kind of game
that many fans love as the lead changed hands 5 times.
Ben Brown(1-3) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 and 1/3 innings and
allowing no runs. Bryan King(1-2) suffered the loss in relief.
Texas now has a record of 27-40. With the loss, Nimrod has a record of 4-6
lately, 34-33 overall.
