Juan Soto had 4 hits and 2 RBI at Busch Stadium where the Woodfield Roadkyll
beat the Tampico Stogies 9 to 3.
Woodfield promptly took the lead in their half of the first scoring a single
run using 2 hits. Jeff McNeil lined a base-hit. Soto stepped up next and he
slapped a single. Xander Bogaerts then drew a walk to load the bases.
Rafael Devers dug into the batters box next, but he struck out. Gleyber
Torres came up to bat and hit a sacrifice fly scoring the run. Overall
Woodfield out-hit Tampico 15 to 11.
Zack Wheeler(3-3) allowed 2 runs in 6 innings, and picked up the victory.
Wheeler was helped out by Jake Latz who recorded his 4th save. Joey
Cantillo(4-2) ended up with the loss. He was touched for 8 hits and 4 walks
in 4 innings.
