Left fielder James Wood smacked 3 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the Aarlington
Aardvarks defeated the Dublin Pubcrawlers by a score of 13 to 6 at Poets
Field.
Wood enjoyed a big evening at the plate. He popped a two-run clout over the
fence in the 1st inning, blasted a two-run home run in the 5th inning and
ripped a solo home run in the 7th inning. Aarlington dominated offensively
as they scored in 6 different innings.
The victory was credited to Clarke Schmidt(2-0) who went 6 innings, allowing 4
runs. Mitch Keller(4-5) ended up with the loss. 'Everything seemed to click
tonight,' Wood said 'if it could only be this easy all the time!'
