Designated hitter Brandon Lowe hit one over the fence at Streator Park as the
Tombstone Huckleberries pulled off a dramatic comeback beating the slumping
Streator Reds by the count of 6 to 3.
Tombstone came up with the deciding runs in the 9th inning when they tallied 4
runs on 3 hits. The biggest moment was provided by Matt Olson who helped
quiet the crowd when he launched a three-run homer. Robert Suarez(6-1) got
help from Edwin Diaz who pitched a perfect ninth and was credited with his
11th save.
Bryan Abreu(1-2) was charged with the loss in relief. He surrendered 4 runs
in 1 inning and saw his ERA increase from 0.79 to 2.28.
'I pin this one on my own shoulders,' Abreu said. 'The bottom line is I didn't
get the job done. Our fans deserve better than this.'
