Cal Raleigh launched 3 homeruns and had 6 RBI as the Gotham Gold Gloves
man-handled the Columbus Crowd - the final score was 12 to 2.
Raleigh enjoyed a great evening at the plate. He cleared the fences for a
two-run home run in the 1st inning, clubbed a solo home run in the 3rd inning
and lost the ball over the fence for three runs in the 5th inning. Columbus
was out-hit by Gotham, 10 hits to 5.
Stephen Kolek(6-0) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 6 innings. Shawn
Armstrong(3-2) suffered the loss. He pitched 1/3 of an inning giving up 1
hit and no walks.
'I've spent a lot of time in the cage and made some adjustments and they've
paid off,' Raleigh said. 'I just take the same approach up there. I don't
overanalyze it. I go up there, see the ball and try to put a good swing on
it.'
