Third baseman Eugenio Suarez ripped 2 homeruns at Burbank Park where the
Gotham Gold Gloves beat the Burbank Tigers 9 to 3.
Suarez was really in 'the zone'. He clubbed a solo home run in the 2nd
inning, lashed a single scoring a run in the 6th inning and cleared the bases
with a Grand Slam homerun in the 7th inning. Gotham rapped out 10 hits for
the night.
The winning pitcher was Andrew Chafin(2-1) who allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3
innings. Hunter Dobbins(4-3) took the loss in relief. He gave up 3 runs and
1 hit in 1 inning.
'It's just about getting in a good hitting position and just going out there
and being prepared,' Suarez said. 'You try to hit in your own capacity and
not do too much. I just try to have a good approach, day after day, game by
game, and pitch by pitch.'
