Bryce Harper had 3 base hits and 2 RBI at Palatine Park where the Caracas
Leones beat the Palatine Cubs 7 to 3.
Caracas started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of the
first as they scored 2 runs on 3 base hits. The key at-bat was by Harper who
silenced the stadium when he doubled which was good for two runs. Caracas
out-hit Palatine for the game, 13 hits to 6.
The victory was credited to Logan Gilbert(6-0) who went 5 and 2/3 innings,
allowing 2 runs. Gilbert got help from Mike Burrows who earned his 4th save.
Edward Cabrera(5-5) was the losing pitcher.
