In a close game the Texas Flood were finally were able to get back on the
winner's track and got by the New York The Yanks by the score of 7 to
5.
Bryce Elder(3-2) struggled at times, but was good enough to get the victory.
He gave up 4 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings and surrendered 3 'long-bombs'.
Although they lost, New York did out-hit Texas 13 to 9.
Elder got relief help from Ben Brown who gained credit for his 5th save. Jack
Leiter(2-5) was charged with the loss. He allowed 3 homeruns in 6 innings of
work.
'Ahhh, that victory was surely needed. Man alive, things were getting awfully
grim,' noted Greg Edens. 'Now, we need to string a bunch of wins together
and turn things around!'
