Willi Castro hit for the cycle and had 4 RBI as the Dyersville Jurassics
defeated the reeling Streator Reds by the score of 9 to 1 at Jurassic
Park.
Castro was a one-man wrecking crew. He smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the
1st inning, tripled plating a run in the 3rd inning, doubled bringing in two
baserunners in the 4th inning and laced a single in the 8th inning.
Dyersville kept the pressure on throughout the contest as they scored in 6
different innings.
The win went to Jose Soriano(3-4) who allowed 1 run in 5 and 1/3 innings.
Chase Burns preserved the game for Soriano, recording his his 3rd save.
Chris Sale(3-3) was charged with the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing
13 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings.
'It's almost like the ball was trying to hit my bat,' Castro said. 'Whenever I
would swing, the ball found the sweet spot.'
