Designated hitter Kyle Schwarber rocketed 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI and Hunter
Greene went 6 solid innings as the Palatine Cubs bested the Dublin
Pubcrawlers 8 to 1 at Poets Field.
Schwarber was unconscious all evening. The Dublin fans hated to see him
approaching the batter's box as he just kept delivering base hits! He doubled
scoring a run in the 3rd inning, launched a three-run homer in the 5th inning
and cracked a solo homerun in the 7th inning. For the game Palatine out-hit
Dublin 11 to 3.
The victory was credited to Greene(4-1) who went 6 innings, allowing 1 run.
The losing pitcher was Matthew Liberatore(2-5). Palatine scored big getting
5 runs off him in 4 and 2/3 innings.
Schwarber was in a good mood after the game, 'I'm just seeing and hitting the
ball real well now. I made some adjustments last week and they are paying
off. That's what this game is about. making adjustments as the season goes
along.'
