In an great finish the New York The Yanks won in dramatic fashion over the
Hollywood Marines by a score of 5 to 4 at Lateralus Parabola.
New York had the winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 3 runs
using 3 hits. After an out was recorded, Miguel Andujar got things going
when he drew a walk. Rhys Hoskins stepped up next and he delivered a single.
Max Muncy then lined a one-base hit to load the bases. Mickey Moniak
followed and he tripled giving New York the win and sending the home town
fans into a frenzy. New York finished with 11 hits while Hollywood ended up
with 5.
Luke Weaver(4-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 2/3 of an inning and
allowing no runs. Abner Uribe(3-2) absorbed the loss in relief. He was
unable to retire a batter allowing 3 hits and no walks.
'What a game!,' Weaver said afterward. 'When we won it I almost couldn't
believe it!'
