The Burbank Tigers and the Illinois Patriots locked up in an exciting one-run
game at Burbank Park. The final score was the Burbank Tigers 4, the Illinois
Patriots 3.
Burbank scored 3 runs in the decisive bottom of the 6th inning when they had 3
base hits. After an out was recorded, Brent Rooker began things off when he
ripped a solo home run. Shea Langeliers was next and he doubled. One out
later, Lenyn Sosa then clubbed a two-run home run. Illinois tried
unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th.
Hunter Dobbins(1-2) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the win. Jack Dreyer
was credited with his 8th save. The losing pitcher was Jacob Webb(2-3) in
relief. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 3 runs in 2 innings.
Wth the win Burbank now has a record of 24-22. Illinois continued their
losing ways and their record is now 12-34, worst in the division. They are
1-9 in their last ten games.
