In a close game it was the New York The Yanks 5, the Hollywood Marines 3 at
Lateralus Parabola.
New York came up with 3 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning. The crucial
at-bat was provided by Jake Rogers who electrified Lateralus Parabola when he
smacked a three-run homer. New York managed only 5 hits on the night.
Nick Pivetta(2-1) went 6 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Pivetta got
help from Cade Smith who was credited with his 6th save. Carlos Rodon(6-2)
took the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 5 runs in 3 and 2/3
innings.
'I had a little blister on my index finger before the game, but I thought it
was nothing.' Pivetta said. 'I was lucky I got a win because I couldn't put
the ball where I wanted it.'
