In a good matchup it was the Gotham Gold Gloves 7, the Dyersville Jurassics 5
at Edsel Stadium.
Gotham scored the decisive runs in a big bottom of the 8th inning plating 2
runs. After an out was recorded, Eugenio Suarez jump-started the rally as he
was hit by a pitch. Oneil Cruz came to the plate and drew a walk. Josh Bell
then doubled resulting in a run. Daniel Schneemann followed and he drew a
walk to load the bases. Lawrence Butler was a strikeout victim, unable to
help out. Ronald Acuna added his contribution to the rally and drew a walk
scoring the final run of the inning. Gotham had 7 hits for the night.
The winning pitcher was Jeremiah Estrada(3-2) who allowed no runs in 2
innings. Carlos Estevez(1-4) was the losing pitcher in relief. He pitched
1/3 of an inning and surrendered 1 hit and 2 walks.
