Catcher Cal Raleigh slammed a homerun and had 3 RBI at Edsel Stadium as the
Gotham Gold Gloves beat the Illinois Patriots in 11 innings by the count of 7
to 5.
Both teams had scored 4 runs after nine full innings. Gotham came out the
victor in the 11th inning. Raleigh initiated the scoring when he clubbed a
two-run home run giving Gotham the win and sending the home town fans into a
frenzy. Gotham finished with 9 hits in the victory.
Andrew Chafin(1-1) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the win. Jacob
Webb(1-2) was tagged with the loss in relief. Wth the win Gotham now has a
record of 19-21. Illinois has recorded a poor 2-8 record in their last 10
