Left fielder Kyle Tucker had 3 base hits and 3 RBI as the Chicago Whales
outscored the Vernon Hillbillies in 10 innings 4 to 3.
The score was knotted at 2 after nine innings. Chicago came out the victor in
the 10th inning. Gunnar Henderson got things rolling when he lined a
base-hit. Henderson took off for second and slid in with a stolen base.
Geraldo Perdomo then drew a walk to load the bases. Tucker followed next and
he ripped a base-knock resulting in an exciting win for Chicago and a raucous
post-game celebration by the home town fans. Chicago banged out 9 hits on
the night.
Pete Fairbanks(2-3) allowed no runs in 2/3 of an inning, and picked up the
victory. Emerson Hancock(0-1) was charged with the loss in relief. He gave
up 2 hits and no walks in 1 and 1/3 innings.
