Center fielder Alek Thomas jacked one out of the ballyard and had 5 RBI as the
Illinois Patriots bested the Streator Reds 10 to 4 at Truist Park.
Thomas had a good evening at the plate. He doubled bringing in two
baserunners in the 3rd inning and smacked a three-run homer in the 7th
inning. Overall Illinois out-hit Streator 11 to 7.
The winning pitcher was Shane Baz(2-1) who allowed 1 run in 6 innings. Robbie
Ray(1-3) absorbed the loss. Illinois scored big getting 7 runs off him in 5
innings.
