In a great finish the Hollywood Marines came back in the top of the ninth and
held on to win over the Columbus Crowd by a score of 3 to 2 at The
Horseshoe.
Hollywood won the game with a rally in the 9th inning plating 2 runs on 2 base
hits. Trevor Larnach led off and got things going when he reached on an
error. Brandon Nimmo next to the plate and he doubled. Jacob Wilson then
smacked a single knocking in a run. Caballero took off for second and slid
in with a stolen base. Hollywood continued their aggressive style with
another stolen base. Bryson Stott joined his teammates in the uprising and
hit a sacrifice fly scoring the final run of the inning. Both teams ended up
with 8 hits on the night.
Garrett Whitlock(1-1) picked up the victory, allowing 1 run in 2 innings.
Dennis Santana preserved the game for Whitlock, recording his his 2nd save.
Devin Williams(0-1) took the loss in relief.
'Brian Anderson was estatic following the game, 'You love stealing one on the
road like this. We just kept plugging away until we pulled it out!'
