Tyler Phillips closed it out for Chicago and Kyle Tucker went yard and had 3
RBI at Burbank Park where the Chicago Whales beat the Burbank Tigers 8 to
6.
Tucker was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine day
at their team's expense. He doubled resulting in a run in the 1st inning,
hit a bases-empty home run in the 4th inning and doubled knocking in a run in
the 8th inning. Phillips pitched a perfect ninth to earn his 1st save.
Spencer Bivens(1-0) got the win allowing 1 run in 3 innings. Mike Vasil(0-1)
was charged with the loss in relief. He surrendered 2 hits and 2 walks in 1
and 2/3 innings.
