Hunter Goodman slammed a homerun and had 3 RBI at Jurassic Park as the
Dyersville Jurassics beat the Nimrod Numnuts 6 to 5.
Dyersville went ahead for good in the bottom of the 6th inning plating 2 runs
utilizing 2 base hits. After two outs Teoscar Hernandez started the rally
when he ripped a one-base hit. Goodman followed and he lifted one out of the
park for a two run home run. Nimrod tried unsuccessfully to come back in the
9th.
The victory went to George Kirby(3-1) who went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs.
Kirby got relief help from Carlos Estevez who gained credit for his 7th save.
Alex Vesia(1-2) ended up with the loss in relief. He pitched 1 inning
allowing 4 hits and no walks.
'We didn't get the key hits when we needed them' Mark Salzwedel said. 'We did
what we could, we just didn't pull out the win. What can you say?'
