Jonathan Aranda blasted a grand slam as the Chicago Whales defeated the
Woodfield Roadkyll by the score of 11 to 2 at Englefield Green.
Aranda was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine day
at their team's expense. He lined a one-base hit in the 4th inning, caught a
hold of a bad pitch for a Grand Slam homerun in the 5th inning and doubled
which brought home a run in the 6th inning. Woodfield was out-hit by
Chicago, 15 hits to 5.
Noah Cameron(3-2) allowed 2 runs in 7 innings, and picked up the victory.
Spencer Strider(0-2) was charged with the loss. He got hit pretty hard,
allowing 7 hits and 4 walks in 4 innings.
