Catcher Dillon Dingler had 2 base hits at Poets Field as the Dublin
Pubcrawlers won a thriller over the Nimrod Numnuts in, 3 to 2.
The deciding run was scored by Dublin in the 9th. After an out was recorded,
Dingler delivered a base-hit, and an error was also committed. Daylen Lile
followed and he laced a single giving Dublin the win as 35,356 happy fans
joyfully celebrated. Dublin finished with just 6 hits in the victory.
Aaron Ashby(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 1/3 of an inning and
allowing no runs. Alex Vesia(1-1) took the loss in relief. He was a
hard-luck loser, pitching 2 innings and not allowing an earned run.
The Dublin ballclub's record now stands at 11-16. With this loss, Nimrod has
a 5-5 record of late, 16-11 overall.
