One run was the difference at Truist Park as the Chicago Whales defeated the
Illinois Patriots in 10 innings 3 to 2.
Both teams had scored 1 runs after nine full innings. Chicago came out on top
in the 10th inning. Geraldo Perdomo initiated the scoring spurt when he laid
down a sacrifice bunt. Kyle Tucker was next and he lifted one out of the
park for a two run home run. Neither team was able to score until the 6th
inning.
The win was credited to Jose Ferrer(3-0) who went 2/3 of an inning allowing no
runs. Spencer Bivens got the save, his 1st. Brant Hurter(0-3) was charged
with the loss in relief. He allowed 2 runs and 1 hit in 1 inning.
