Right fielder Starling Marte jacked one out of the ballyard and had 3 RBI as
the Dublin Pubcrawlers defeated the Gotham Gold Gloves by a score of 9 to 6
at Poets Field.
Dublin set the tone of the game in the first inning when they came up with 4
runs on 5 hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Wyatt Langford who
electrified Poets Field when he clubbed a three-run home run. Gotham had a
chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.
Matthew Liberatore(1-2) got credit for the victory, pitching 5 innings and
allowing 3 runs. Jeff Hoffman recorded the save, his 4th. Michael
Lorenzen(0-1) absorbed the loss. He was not very effective, surrendering 9
runs in 4 and 2/3 innings.
