Jake Cronenworth smacked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the New York The Yanks
defeated the Chicago Whales by the score of 6 to 4 at West Side
Park.
Cronenworth had a big day with his bat. He bombed a two-run dinger in the 1st
inning, delivered a single in the 3rd inning and lost the ball over the fence
for three runs in the 5th inning. New York banged out 9 hits on the night.
The victory was credited to Luis Castillo(2-0) who went 6 innings, allowing 4
runs. Tyler Rogers recorded the save, his 1st. Aaron Civale(1-1) was tagged
with the loss. He was not very effective, surrendering 5 runs in 4 and 2/3
innings.
'Some days it just all comes together, and this was one of them' Cronenworth
said. 'I've been seeing the ball pretty well lately.'
