The Hollywood Marines defeated the Woodfield Roadkyll by a score of 7 to 3 at
Englefield Green.
Woodfield was unable to climb back into it after Hollywood went ahead for good
in the top of the 3rd inning scoring 3 runs on 3 base hits. Rob Refsnyder
led off and got things going when he drew a walk. Romy Gonzalez stepped into
the batter's box and he singled. Jose Caballero then ripped a single to load
the bases. Tyler Heineman dug into the batters box next, but he struck out.
Kyren Paris came up to bat and belted a three-run homer. That was all the
runs Landen Roupp(1-0) needed. Hollywood managed 12 hits in their victory.
Abner Uribe got the save, his 1st. Cristopher Sanchez(0-2) was the loser. He
was unable to control the Hollywood offense and allowed 8 hits and 3 walks in
5 and 2/3 innings.
