Designated hitter Jahmai Jones connected with a 'big fly' and had 4 RBI as the
Chicago Whales really laid it on the Dublin Pubcrawlers 15 to 3.
The Dublin fans didn't appreciate the big day Jones had. He laced a base-hit
scoring a run in the 3rd inning, doubled bringing in a run in the 4th inning
and blasted a two-run home run in the 9th inning. Chicago kept the
scorekeepers busy in the 9th inning when they had 9 runs on 6 hits. Dublin
was out-hit by Chicago, 14 hits to 9.
The victory was credited to Jose Ferrer(1-0) who went 2 innings, allowing no
runs. Griffin Jax recorded the save, his 1st. Matthew Liberatore(0-1) took
the loss. He struggled with his control issuing 6 walks in 3 and 1/3
innings.
